Yarra Trams in Melbourne invites applications for a Human Factors Lead to shape and embed a cross‑organisation HF capability, impacting how work is designed, risk is managed and systems are developed for frontline operations.

Reporting to the Director of Safety & Security, you will drive fatigue risk management, contribute to design guidance and support investigations while partnering with external consultants on major projects and change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Mandatory qualifications in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Ergonomics or Human Factors.
• Experience in safety-critical organisations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Fatigue Risk Management and safety improvement.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a human factors capability with coaching and guidance across the organisation.
• Provide SME in fatigue risk management and deployment of related plans.
• Guide human factors in design to optimise safety, efficiency, and usability.
• Support investigations with expert human factors analysis and system-level recommendations.
• Procure and liaise with external consultants for Infrastructure & Fleet projects.
• Assess human factors impacts during Management of Change.
