HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. in Madrid is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to join our Service business unit.

The role focuses on leading health, safety and environmental initiatives across operations and providing coaching to teams. You will drive comprehensive risk assessments, investigate incidents, develop corrective actions, and deliver trainings while tracking KPI performance to improve safety culture.

Formación

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles within an industrial or energy environment.
  • Construction experience will be an added value
  • Solid understanding of HSE regulations, standards, risk assessments, and incident analysis
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct engaging trainings
  • Experience working with HSE performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to influence and drive behavioral change across diverse teams
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Collaborative working style and ability to support cross‑functional factory operations
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor key HSE KPIs and prepare clear reports to drive transparency and decision-making
  • Deliver HSE trainings and awareness programs that foster a strong safety culture
  • Maintain and continuously improve emergency response plans, including drills and preparedness activities
  • Collaborate closely with teams to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations and long‑term planning
  • Drive the integration and continuous improvement of environmental practices by leading risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring/reporting environmental performance against HSE objectives.

Your background

Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles within an industrial or energy environment.

Construction experience will be an added value
