Pangea is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental activities on a major data centre project in Spain, focusing on diesel generator and critical power scope. You will work with project, construction, commissioning and client teams to drive safe delivery from installation through commissioning.

The role starts around November/December 2026 and runs for 12 months with extensions possible.

Formación

• Proven track record as HSE Manager/Lead/Engineer on major construction or data centre projects.
• Experience with diesel generators and commissioning activities is highly desirable.
• Spanish HSE requirements knowledge beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HSE activities across diesel generator and critical power scope.
• Develop and review RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.
• Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, generator installation, fuel systems, electrical works, energisation and load-bank testing.
• Support Level 1-4 commissioning and integrated testing.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks.
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and maintain HSE documentation.
• Provide regular HSE updates to the Project Manager and client.

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a major data centre project in Spain, focusing on the diesel generator and critical power scope. The role will oversee HSE activities throughout installation, pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning, working closely with the project, construction, commissioning and client teams.

Start: November/December 2026

Duration: 12 Months + extensions

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HSE activities across the diesel generator and critical power scope.
• Develop and review RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.
• Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, generator installation, fuel systems, electrical works, energisation and load-bank testing.
• Support Level 1-4 commissioning and integrated testing.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HSE Manager / HSE Lead / HSE Engineer on major construction or data centre projects.
• Experience within data centres, critical infrastructure or power generation.
• Experience with diesel generators and commissioning activities is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, risk assessments, LOTO and permit-to-work systems.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical construction risks.
• Relevant HSE qualification; NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent advantageous.
• Spanish HSE experience or knowledge of local requirements would be beneficial.
