Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an accomplished HRIS/Workday expert to lead an end-to-end Workday implementation in Spain. You will coordinate HR, IT, and external system integrators, translating requirements into system solutions and driving governance and adoption across the organization.

With 5+ years in HRIS/HR Transformation and 4+ years specifically in Workday, you will own the HRIS roadmap, manage vendor relationships, and ensure successful go-lives and continuous improvements in a fast-paced

• 5+ years in HRIS / HR Technology / HR Transformation.
• 4+ years of experience of Workday.
• Proven experience in Workday implementation (client-side strongly preferred).
• Workday certifications good to have.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Workday implementation program (scope, timeline, budget, risks).
• Act as the primary interface between HR, IT, and external system integrators.
• Coordinate and challenge external consultants to ensure quality delivery.
• Drive requirements gathering and translate business needs into system solutions.
• Manage governance, decision-making forums, and stakeholder alignment.
• Oversee testing, data migration, integrations, and go-live readiness.
• Ensure adoption through change management and communication strategies.

• Manage backlog, releases, and system upgrades.

Requirements

• 5+ years in HRIS / HR Technology / HR Transformation
• 4+ years of experience of Workday
• Proven experience in Workday implementation (client‑side strongly preferred)

• Experience in Core HCM and, at least one other module (Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning)
• Strong program/project management experience
• Experience managing external vendors/system integrators
• Solid understanding of HR processes (e.g., Core HR, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll)
• Strong ownership and autonomy
• Proficient level of English
• Ability to operate across business and technology domains
• Stakeholder management at senior level
