Job summary

Stoïk is seeking an HR Operations Manager to oversee HR and payroll for Spain and soon Italy. You will collaborate with local teams, report to the Head of People, and work with the Country Manager and Global HR team.

You will manage payroll, HR compliance, and social providers, while acting as a key HRIS user and handling day-to-day HR topics. Onboarding and offboarding guidance are also part of the role in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in a similar HR/Payroll role in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Spanish payroll and HR operations; knowledge of Italian payroll is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Italian is a plus for the Spain-Italy scope.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and attention to detail; proactive and autonomous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll for Spain and soon Italy; ensure HR payroll compliance.
• Manage relationships with social providers (health insurance, pension, car rental, phone, etc.).
• Act as HRIS super-user and handle day-to-day HR queries; provide onboarding/offboarding support.
• Provide HR and legal guidance to managers during offboarding; support managers and leaving employees.

Position Overview

We are currently looking for an HR Operations Manager to oversee the Stoïk community in Spain and soon Italy.

You will have a key role at Stoïk, working closely with the two local teams, reporting to the Head of People, and collaborating with the Country Manager and the Global HR team.

You will also work closely with the Finance and Events teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll:

• Managing the payroll for Spain, and soon Italy.

• Ensuring our full HR compliance regarding the payroll and any other topics;

• Standardizing as many benefits policies as possible (e.g. car, administrative onboarding/offboarding, and perks);

• Acting as the key contact for all payroll-related matters.

1. Daily Operations

• Being the key user of our HRIS;

• Managing relationships with every social provider of this scope (e.g. Health Insurance, Pension, car rental company, phone provider, etc.);

• Guaranteeing the best social providers and policies thanks to continuous best practices benchmarking and monitoring;

• Responding to any employee’s HR questions and handling day-to-day HR topics;

• Ensuring a trusting relationship with the Country Manager and every employee + every manager to participate in their well-being at Stoïk.

1. Onboarding

• Handling the administrative pre-onboarding process.

• Providing HR and legal guidance to managers during the offboarding process;

• Being a solid support to managers and a close contact to the leaving employees;

• Handling the administrative offboarding process.

Qualifications

• You have at least three years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

• You already have skills in Spanish and Italian Payroll and HR Operations, and you aim to become an expert in these fields.

• You are fluent in Spanish and English. Italian would be a great plus as well.

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills, strong attention to detail, and a high sense of quality.

• You enjoy learning, are curious, proactive, adaptable, a good listener, and organized.

• You like working with autonomy and know how to be proactive in carrying out your tasks.
