Job summary

Roche is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer within the RDT Hosting and Infrastructure team. You will support high performance storage platforms, apply DevOps practices, and work closely with scientists and service providers to deliver reliable research environments.

The role emphasizes automation, scripting, and configuration management to optimize workflows and cluster utilization, with collaboration across product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in multinational or fast-paced settings.
• Foundational knowledge of distributed storage and parallel file systems.
• Experience with Linux and command-line troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operations and maintenance across High Performance Storage platforms.
• Apply DevOps practices with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders across lifecycle stages.
• Analyze and optimize scientific workflows and batch job submission patterns.
• Identify and implement enhancements to systems, workflows and collaboration.
