Antal International en Madrid busca un/a Head of Technology para liderar la función tecnológica y definir la visión, arquitectura y hoja de ruta de entrega de una plataforma bancaria digital de próxima generación.

Reportando al equipo directivo, la persona seleccionada managementará un equipo de ingeniería, gestionará presupuesto y asegurará cumplimiento regulatorio y ciberseguridad, trabajando de forma colaborativa con Producto y Operaciones en un entorno de rápido crecimiento.

Formación

• Más de 10 años de experiencia liderando equipos de software y funciones tecnológicas.
• Experiencia previa como Head of Technology, CTO o VP Engineering.
• Experiencia en fintech, banca digital o entorno de startups rápidas.
• Experiencia en productos cloud-native y arquitecturas modernas.

Responsabilidades

• Definir la estrategia tecnológica, arquitectura y hoja de ruta de la plataforma.
• Dirigir el equipo de ingeniería y priorizar tecnología según objetivos.
• Colaborar con Product para entregar la plataforma digital.
• Gestionar gobernanza tecnológica, ciberseguridad, resiliencia y cumplimiento normativo (DORA, NIS2, PSD2, GDPR).
• Tomar decisiones de arquitectura, build-vs-buy y selección tecnológica.
• Gestionar proveedores y colaboradores externos.
• Definir OKRs, métricas de entrega y estándares tecnológicos.
• Desarrollar a engineering managers, arquitectos e ingenieros.
• Gestionar presupuesto tecnológico e asignación de recursos.
• Colaborar con Operaciones, Riesgo y Cumplimiento.

Location: Madrid, Spain

A fast-growing digital banking organization is looking to appoint a Head of Technology to lead its technology function and play a key role in the development of a next-generation banking platform.

Reporting to the executive leadership team, this position will be responsible for defining the technology vision, architecture and delivery roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy while building a scalable, secure and resilient technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy, architecture and platform roadmap.
• Lead the engineering function and establish technology priorities aligned with business objectives.
• Partner closely with Product to drive the successful delivery of the digital banking platform.
• Own technology governance, cybersecurity, operational resilience and regulatory compliance, including DORA, NIS2, PSD2 and GDPR.
• Drive architectural decisions, including build-versus-buy evaluations and technology selection.
• Manage technology vendors, strategic partners and external engineering providers.
• Define engineering OKRs, delivery metrics and technology standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineering managers, architects and software engineers.
• Oversee the technology budget, investment planning and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Risk and Compliance to ensure alignment across critical business functions.

Candidate Profile

• More than 10 years of experience leading software engineering and technology organizations.
• Previous experience as Head of Technology, CTO, VP Engineering or a comparable leadership position.
• Ideally coming from a fintech, digital banking or online banking startup environment, with experience building technology functions in fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
• Proven experience delivering cloud-native, scalable digital products, preferably within FinTech, Banking, Payments or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) environments.
• Strong technical background with the ability to contribute to architectural discussions and guide engineering teams across cloud technologies, APIs, DevOps and modern integration architectures.
• Experience managing complex technology vendors and third-party delivery partners.
• Solid understanding of enterprise integrations, including ERP and CRM platforms.
• Strong knowledge of technology governance, cybersecurity, operational resilience and financial services regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
