Softonic is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Native team in Barcelona. You will lead up to two engineering squads, stay hands-on with architecture reviews, and guide technical decisions for our mobile apps and backend services.

You will balance delivery, team growth, and technical excellence while shaping the Native roadmap to meet company goals. The role requires 5+ years managing engineering teams with a hands-on background in native mobile development, plus experience with React Native

Formación

• 5+ years in engineering leadership
• Hands-on with native mobile development
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to manage up to two teams simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of React Native and Kotlin
• Experience with monorepo setups across multiple native apps
• Experience distributing native apps outside stores and via app stores
• Comfort with exposing/consuming backend services through API gateways
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Crossplane, and GCP
• Familiarity with Scrum/Kanban/Lean and Agile coaching

Responsabilidades

• Lead up to two engineering teams, native and cross-functional
• Guide React Native app development and Kotlin native modules
• Review architecture and support engineers on technical problems
• Drive decisions on exposing backend endpoints via API gateway
• Own infra decisions for Native team: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Crossplane, GCP
• Remove roadblocks and align delivery with Product Owners
• Align OKRs with Product needs each quarter
• Mentor team members and collaborate with HR and Agile Coaches
• Shape mid-long term Native team strategy with the Director of Engineering
• Foster a positive team environment and best people practices
