We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate to join our Energy Sector Coverage team within ING Wholesale Banking, based in Madrid. The Energy Sector team partners with leading clients across the full energy value chain, including Renewables & Power, Utilities, Hydrocarbons & New Energies and emerging low‑carbon technologies. Our clients include utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), infrastructure and energy funds, developers, energy transition platforms and large corporates active in the sector. As part of a global Energy platform with teams across EMEA, APAC and the Americas, we support our clients through the full suite of ING products, including Lending, Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Debt Capital Markets and Advisory. You will work closely with senior sector bankers in Iberia and internationally, gaining exposure to client coverage, origination, strategic advisory, transaction execution and portfolio management across some of the most relevant energy transition investments in Europe.
The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline with strong academic results from top‑tier universities. Previous internship or professional experience in banking, project finance, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting or related fields. Strong financial and analytical skills, including an interest in financial modelling and corporate/project finance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English. A genuine interest in infrastructure and the energy transition.
