Invopop is seeking a Graduate Product Engineer in Madrid to take ownership of applications from research to production. This role involves designing backend integrations in Golang and collaborating closely with customers to enhance product functionalities.

Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering, be fluent in English, and possess a builder mindset. A competitive compensation package of €45k base salary plus Employee Stock Options is offered, with expectations for in-office work 4-5 days/week.

I’m Juan, CEO of Invopop. We help companies like Fever, DeepL, and Booksy issue and receive invoices that comply with local requirements across 25+ countries.

This is a full-time role for someone who has completed (or is about to complete) university and can join Invopop within 1–2 months.

About Invopop

Invopop helps global companies like SumUp, Fever, or DeepL manage electronic invoicing in over 25 countries through a single API.

In the next five years, more than 40 countries, including the entire EU, will mandate that businesses send invoices electronically in XML formats and report them live to tax authorities.

This reduces fraud and enables companies to automate invoice processing instead of relying on OCR. There’s only one catch: each country has defined unique standards, forcing global companies to build dozens of local integrations—or integrate once with Invopop.

Invopop was founded by Sam Lown, co‑founder and former CTO of Cabify (Spain's first tech unicorn), and Juan Moliner (ex-BCG), based on Sam’s experience dealing with this problem in ten Latin American countries with Cabify.

Your mission as a Graduate Product Engineer

You’ll own one or more Apps from research to production.

• Design and build backend integrations in Golang
• Investigate new countries and systems: read docs, interpret requirements, ask questions, and turn ambiguity into a clear plan.
• Make product decisions with support: what to build first, what to cut, when to ship.
• Support customers using your integrations and iterate based on real feedback.

Whom We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering, or a proven track record building software outside formal education.
• Evidence of exceptional ability: top of your class, standout projects, or similar.
• Builder mindset: side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons.
• Fluent English (spoken and written). It’s our working language.
• You can join full-time in Madrid within the next 1‑2 months.
