Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a GRC Analyst to help train and evaluate AI systems by applying security, privacy, and risk controls across major frameworks. The role emphasizes policy interpretation, risk assessment, and data quality for AI training sets.

The position is remote, hourly, and part of a freelance-friendly arrangement, with 10–40 hours per week and potential for ongoing work. Strong written reasoning and independent work are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management.
• Ability to read, interpret and critique policy & audit-style documentation.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS or similar.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness.
• Classify and evaluate real-world compliance scenarios across SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation.
• Generate and validate high-quality training and evaluation data for AI systems.

What You'll Do

• Review and analyze security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness
• Classify and evaluate real-world compliance scenarios across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST
• Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management
• Solid familiarity with one or more frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, or similar
• Comfortable reading, interpreting, and critiquing policy and audit-style documentation
• Detail-oriented with precise, well-structured written reasoning
• Self-motivated and able to work independently on asynchronous tasks

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in information security, internal audit, or enterprise risk management
• Experience writing or reviewing security control narratives or risk assessments
