Job summary

KenTech is seeking a Backend Developer to elevate our platform in Gran Canaria. You will build scalable web and mobile services, contribute to architecture, and deliver robust RESTful APIs with GoLang.

The role supports hybrid work in Gran Canaria with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and a focus on clean docs and rapid iteration. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in backend dev, solid experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of backend development in GoLang, Java or C++.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Proficient with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
• RESTful API design and performance tuning.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and English proficiency.
• Nice to have familiarity with AI code generation tools.

Responsibilities

• Create full-scale web-based and mobile applications through design and development.
• Contribute to architecture across the technology stack from database to services.
• Emphasize rapid and effective implementation foundations for systems.
• Deliver backend code in GoLang and related languages.
• Create technical specifications and architecture documents; maintain documentation.
• Provide basic support and debugging in test and production environments.
• Maintain and repair existing applications.
