Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking an Engineering Manager focused on Ubuntu Linux kernel for a Spain-based team. You will lead a globally distributed group of kernel engineers, transitioning from senior technical roles into people and project management.

You will guide kernel development across cloud, server, desktop, and IoT, own release cycles, and mentor engineers while aligning priorities with product roadmaps.

Formación

• Senior software engineering experience with leadership interest in moving to people and project management.
• Strong background in systems software, C, and operating systems.
• Direct Linux kernel experience valued but not required; Ubuntu/Debian/Snap experience valued.

Responsabilidades

• Transition to full-time people and project management while guiding engineering teams.
• Mentor and develop a globally distributed kernel engineering team.
• Oversee kernel delivery, testing, maintenance, and evolution across cloud, server, desktop, and IoT.
