Ebury is seeking a Group Head of Sanctions and Export Controls to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive global compliance framework. The role operates at a strategic level, setting risk appetite and ensuring cross-border activities comply with international sanctions regulations.

The successful candidate will lead a global team, engage with regulators, and report to senior leadership. This role is based in Madrid with a hybrid work arrangement, offering growth in a fintech environment

Formación

• 10+ years of deep subject matter expertise in financial crime, with leadership of sanctions/export controls at a global level.
• Master-level understanding of global sanctions regimes (OFAC, OFSI, EU, UN) and export control frameworks.
• Experience leading diverse, globally distributed compliance teams.
• Ability to align regulatory requirements with commercial objectives while protecting regulatory standing.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain the global sanctions and export controls framework, policies, and risk appetite statements.
• Oversee export control protocols tailored to cross-border operations and ensure robust screening processes.
• Lead and mentor a global team of sanctions managers and advisory officers.
• Provide regular reporting to executives and the board on risk exposure and control effectiveness.
