Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global BU HSE Fire and Explosion Program Lead to oversee the Fire and Explosion Safety program across facilities worldwide. Lead processes, provide guidance, and drive safety performance with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance.

The role requires an engineering background, 8+ years of relevant experience, and travel (10–20%). Strong knowledge of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, and NFPA standards is essential. English proficiency is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering with a specialization in Fire and Explosion safety.
• 8+ years of experience in relevant functions; strong understanding of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, British Standards, API, NFPA.
• Experience in defining and conducting Fire and Explosion safety inspections and audits.
• Willingness to travel globally (10-20%) and fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the BU Fire and Explosion Safety Program and related processes and guidance.
• Assess and safeguard Fire and Explosion prevention systems on BU TR facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Develop and implement cross-functional strategies for Fire and Explosion safety measures and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for Fire and Explosion safety.
• Provide training and develop technical competencies in Fire and Explosion safety at local sites.
• Define requirements for Fire and Explosion safety during purchasing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal Real Estate projects to ensure safety compliance.
• Investigate Fire and Explosion incidents, determine root causes, and prepare corrective and preventive action plans.
