Job summary

JBT Marel Spain is seeking a Field Service Site Supervisor based in Spain to oversee equipment installations, start-up activities and preventive maintenance at customer sites worldwide. This international role requires a strong electrical background, a practical mindset, and the confidence to work independently.

Travel will account for 160-210 days per year, with assignments typically lasting 2–8 weeks away from home.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background with knowledge of electrical systems.
• Experience in field service, site supervision, and installation or commissioning.
• Experience coordinating contractors and customer teams on-site.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and work independently.
• Experience leading project activities and process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal English is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel globally 160-210 days per year.
• Previous experience in the food processing or industrial machinery sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise equipment installations, start-up activities and maintenance agreements at customer sites worldwide.
• Coordinate field service engineers, local contractors and customer crews safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards during projects.
• Conduct pre-installation site visits to verify layouts and requirements.
• Manage schedules, resources and priorities, solving technical/logistical challenges.
• Report project progress to customers and stakeholders; document lessons learned.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced colleagues and support development.
