Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a proactive professional to join our team in Madrid, contributing to bid and contract management across our global infrastructure projects. The role focuses on guidelines, budgeting, and governance to ensure regulatory compliance and commercial success.

The candidate will support tender analysis, budgeting, and relationship-building with clients and internal stakeholders, while upholding Ferrovial’s standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver project contract guidelines and protocols to ensure Ferrovial complies with regulations and best practices.
• Assist in providing specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving routine queries and issues, and escalating very complex or contentious issues to senior management.
• Manage contract change control processes, evaluating change requests, negotiating modified terms and ensuring proper documentation and approval as required.
• Track contract performance, prepare progress reports and regularly communicate contract status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze incoming documents and evaluate complex elements of bids or requests for proposal or tenders to support the tender evaluation process, liaising with other areas of Ferrovial to comply with Client and Ferrovial terms.
• Develop and deliver detailed insights and reports on bidding activities, performance, and outcomes. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop strong relationships with potential clients and assist in negotiation by providing information and advice on terms and conditions of contracts and negotiating tactics.
• Develop and manage detailed budgets for individual bidding projects, monitoring expenditures and ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
• Maintain and renew knowledge of Ferrovial’s policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes; identify non-compliance patterns and escalate or prevent issues in the contract team.
• Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, providing high-quality professional services to support deliverables.
• Develop own performance objectives and coach team members to achieve goals using Ferrovial’s performance systems.
• Develop capabilities by participating in development activities and training; pursue external professional accreditation when relevant.
• Identify the team's development needs and plan actions to build capabilities; provide training or coaching to others in the area of expertise.
