Empresa Confidencial, an international construction group, seeks an Internal Auditor for its Madrid headquarters. You will report to the Internal Audit Manager and help develop audit methodologies, plan risk-based audits, and supervise fieldwork with autonomy.

The role demands strong internal audit experience, fluency in Spanish and English, and the ability to collaborate with cross-border teams. Travel to active project sites is required and a hybrid work model is offered.

Formación

• 5–8 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, internal controls, or risk management.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; French/Portuguese valued.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries; international exposure preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Internal Audit Manager in developing and updating the internal audit methodology, policies, risk-based annual plan, templates, and reporting standards.
• Contribute to risk assessments focusing on construction projects, procurement, subcontractor management, and operations across African countries.
• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits with a high degree of day-to-day autonomy.
• Assess design and effectiveness of internal controls per COSO and local regulations.
• Identify fraud and compliance risks in emerging markets related to construction projects.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and provide updates on findings, risks, and project status to management.
• Monitor remediation of audit findings and progress of corrective actions.
• Build relationships with project, procurement, finance, and legal teams in Madrid and across subsidiaries and sites.
• Travel regularly to countries where the company operates.
