Job summary

APM Terminals, based in Barcelona, seeks a Civil Category Manager to lead global civil procurement and CAPEX/OPEX spend management. This role partners with technical functions and more than 70 business units to drive value through strategic sourcing and disciplined contract management.

Reporting to Head of Civil Category Management, you will oversee global civil CAPEX spend up to USD 1 billion, work with suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders, and travel roughly 10–20% as needed to

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience, preferably in civil category management or procurement.
• Civil technical degree preferred.
• Extensive experience with FIDIC contracts and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of CAPEX structures and large civil programmes.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% of time and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement, contracting, and category strategies for global civil projects.
• Lead tender processes for civil projects above USD 2 million.
• Programme-manage multiple complex civil tenders with interdependencies.
• Build and manage relationships with civil suppliers, consultants, and global procurement teams.
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements including FIDIC-based contracts.
• Develop cost models and pursue total-cost-of-ownership improvements.
• Coordinate implementation with key civil suppliers to meet timelines and compliance.
