Job summary

Conciliat Executive Search seeks an experienced PROJECT ENGINEER (Industrial Sector) to oversee end-to-end CAPEX projects in a leading materials company. You will align engineering teams, operations, and external partners to ensure scope, cost, and schedule success while upholding safety standards.

Based in Parla, near Madrid, Spain, the role requires strong technical drawing literacy and risk assessment capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or related roles within industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience managing capital projects and coordinating project engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience working in complex industrial settings with exposure to plant operations and project execution.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage capital investment projects (up to ~$5M) from initial concept through execution and completion, including scope definition, cost estimation, preparation of capital expenditure requests, and resource planning.
• Project Planning & Execution: Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring efficient execution with minimal disruption to existing plant operations.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, operations, maintenance, and technical teams) to achieve project and site objectives.
• Cost Control & Performance Monitoring: Track project performance (cost, schedule, scope), proactively identify deviations, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Procurement & Supplier Management: Develop RFQs, evaluate proposals, and manage procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contractor coordination to optimize system performance.
• Technical Specification & Engineering Design: Develop and review technical specifications to ensure compliance with site standards and equipment availability, including preparation of engineering documentation.
