Job summary

Codeway is seeking an Accounting Lead to own day-to-day operations across our multi-entity group, based in Barcelona and Istanbul. You’ll manage a team of accountants, ensure timely monthly closes, VAT and corporate tax compliance, and audit readiness across jurisdictions.

This hands-on leadership role covers intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, ERP implementation, and policy development, with exposure to global tax issues and cross-border reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (VAT and corporate income tax).
• Experience preparing for and supporting external audits in a multi-entity group.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting cycle across all group entities, including AP/AR, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, with timely journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure VAT refunds, tax compliance, and audit readiness across jurisdictions.
• Oversee intercompany transactions recording, reconciliation, and elimination.
• Support transfer pricing compliance and documentation.
• Lead ERP implementation/optimization and automation of manual tasks.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, HR, and Procurement for reliable actuals and cross-functional processes.
