AECOM in Madrid is seeking a Civil Engineer Geologist with 2–5 years of geotechnical and tunneling experience to join our Ground engineering team. You will work on mid- to large-scale infrastructure projects, collaborating with engineers across sites in Madrid and other offices.

The role offers hybrid work options and opportunities for professional growth within Enterprise Capabilities, mentoring from senior engineers, and access to diverse international projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Geological Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of ground and tunneling engineering design experience for transportation and water projects.
• Fluency in English is essential; Spanish is a plus.
• Experience planning and managing subsurface investigations and processing geotechnical data.
• Experience in foundation design (shallow and deep), slope stability, seepage analysis, retaining walls and settlement analyses.
• Knowledge of rock mechanics and rock slope design.
• Proficiency with Geoestudio/Plaxis, Rocscience, Ensoft; Openground and Leapfrog advantageous.
• Experience working with international and multi-cultural teams and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Support subsurface investigations, plan and interpret ground data, and prepare geotechnical design recommendations.
• Carry out ground engineering design tasks: bearing capacity, earthworks, ground improvement, stability analyses.
• Contribute to larger engineering assignments under senior guidance and progressively assume more responsibility.
• Develop engineering calculations, notes and draft reports with mentoring guidance.
• Contribute to value engineering by evaluating alternative design solutions and materials.
• Participate in quality control reviews of calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Support project team in achieving technical objectives, milestones and budget.
