Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Geoscientist to join a multidisciplinary exploration and production team. The role involves interpreting seismic data, building geological models, and guiding drilling and development decisions.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Geology, Geophysics or related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in exploration geology or reservoir characterization within energy industry.
• Proficiency with geological software for data interpretation and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze seismic, well log and core data to interpret subsurface geology and identify hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Develop and refine geological models and maps to guide exploration and appraisal activities.
• Collaborate with geophysicists to integrate seismic interpretations and constrain geological models.
• Assess reservoir potential, estimate resource volumes, and provide input for field development planning.
• Work with drilling and production engineers to ensure well placement and operational success.
• Stay current with advancements in geoscience technologies and methodologies.
