Formación

• BsC or MSc in Biological Sciences or equivalent.
• Proficiency English.
• 3+ years of experience in Reproductive Genetics in leadership roles.
• Knowledge of maintaining an accredited clinical service, including ISO 15189.
• Technical knowledge of molecular techniques (MLPA, NGS, qPCR).
• Analytical and technical troubleshooting management.
• Liquid handling expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow and protocol compliance.
• Assist development and implementation of new methods with managers and researchers.
• Apply techniques across a broad range of laboratory instruments to optimize performance and drive improvements.
• Write and maintain SOPs and QC documentation in line with ISO15189.
• Ensure equipment is functioning, calibrated and serviced regularly.
• Manage inventory, stock controls and purchase orders with team support.
• Ensure personnel comply with laboratory regulatory requirements and procedures.

JUNO Genetics‑Spain is looking for a Genetic Laboratory Manager to join the team located in Valencia whose mission will be to manage the daily operations of the laboratory and to take responsibility for all aspects of the wet laboratory, including but not limited to establishing and maintaining quality standards, developing operations within the laboratory to ensure high quality, troubleshooting procedures, and optimizing laboratory procedures using automatic liquid handlining instruments.

To ensure safe, rapid, timely and accurate availability of results having investigated and analyzed samples using a wide variety of techniques.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations, providing troubleshooting support as needed to ensure efficient and uninterrupted workflow. Review all protocols to ensure efficacy at all times and liaise with management and team leaders should any improvements or updates be required.
• Ability to assist with development and implementation of new methods and applications by working in close cooperation with managers and research personnel.
• To apply technical expertise across a broad range of laboratory techniques and instrumentation to ensure optimal laboratory performance, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• To write and maintain SOPs and other documentation in accordance with ISO15189 and troubleshoot procedures as necessary if standards are not maintained or difficulties are encountered and assist with Quality Control Audits.
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and is maintained and serviced regularly.
• To control all that all inventories and stock controls are kept updated and all personnel assist with this and manage the purchases orders.
• To maintain a thorough understanding of laboratory-specific regulatory requirements and ensure all personnel consistently comply with applicable standards and procedures.

Position requirements:

• BsC or MSc in Biological Sciences or equivalent
• Proficiency English.
• 3+ years of experience in Reproductive Genetics in leadership roles.
• Knowledge of maintaining an accredited clinical service, including ISO 15189.
