Job summary

OLX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems powering our products, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers from anywhere in Spain.

Occasional travel for team meetups may be required. Required are 5+ years of backend experience, strong proficiency in languages such as Python/Java/Node.js/Go, and database expertise (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
