Alan is looking for a seasoned full-stack software engineer to join the Everyone Can Build crew in Tech Foundations. You will help build infrastructure and internal platforms that empower product teams and developers.

You will work with Python/Flask, React, and AI-assisted coding tools, focusing on scalable, high-quality code and delightful developer experiences. Fluent English is required; French not necessary.

The Engineering team

In our engineering team, we build infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and ourselves. Engineers work closely with product decisions and ownership. We move fast and tackle big problems. Our process is simple: those who make product decisions also build them. The Stack

Python/Flask, React, React Native, PostgreSQL in a monorepo. We deploy daily and practice distributed ownership – you build it, you own it.

The Everyone Can Build crew — within Tech Foundations area

Focus: Tech Foundations enables product teams and creates an environment to thrive, combining infrastructure, developer experience, operational excellence, and security to make shipping excellent products effortless. Everyone Can Build aims to propel Alan into the AI-native era by building tools, agents, and infrastructure that let engineers and non-engineers contribute at scale.

Scope:

1. Hopper — Alan’s background coding agent: agent orchestration, parallel agent pools, dashboard for builders.

2. AI-native engineering enablement — Integration, agentic workflows.

3. Autonomous testing infrastructure — agents validate their own work before shipping.

4. Sandboxed development environments — remove brittle local setups so everyone can contribute safely.

5. CI/CD and quality guardrails — auto-fix, complexity scoring, automated checks, and new PR review experiences for confident reviewing.

6. Non-engineer contribution tooling — flows and interfaces that enable Designers, PMs and Ops to contribute autonomously.

Focus for 2026:

We’re moving from monitoring AI tools to trusting AI agents, scaling Hopper alongside reliable infrastructure: managed agent pools, sandboxed environments, autonomous testing, and CI auto-fix. Engineers will routinely offload tasks to agents. Non-engineers will open pull requests after easily testing their changes. Agents will validate their own work before it ships.
