C&A is seeking a frontend developer to build high-traffic user interfaces using JavaScript and modern frameworks. You will contribute to UX improvements and collaborate with designers, QA and managers across a distributed team in Europe.

You should bring strong HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/TypeScript skills, experience with component-driven UI and REST/GraphQL, plus familiarity with Webpack, npm and Git. English-speaking environment; hybrid/remote options available.

About our partner

On behalf of our partner C&A, a multinational retail clothing brand with stores across Europe, we are looking for top talent. The role is within their e‑commerce division headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany, and you will work in a distributed team from our office in Málaga, Spain, or from home.

What you’ll be doing

• Build high‑traffic user interfaces with JavaScript and React/React Native, Vue.js or Angular.
• Work on the implementation of high‑leverage features to optimize UX and conversion rates.
• Cooperate with skilled developers, managers, QA, and designers to ship new components and features.
• Draft architectural decisions together with the Tech Lead and explore new technologies.
• Have a direct impact on team processes through regular retrospectives.
• Exchange your knowledge with other developers and be part of our One C&A Family.

What you’ll bring

• Very good coding skills in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS), JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Professional experience with JS frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with component‑driven user interfaces and component libraries, e.g., Storybook.
• Rich experience using REST and/or GraphQL interfaces (e.g., Apollo client/server).
• Proficiency with build tools such as Webpack or npm, testing frameworks such as Jest, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab or Bitbucket, as well as version control systems like Git.
• Comfortable working with TypeScript or ES6.
• Good background in building complex customer‑facing products, coupled with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Passionate about writing well‑structured, efficient and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check.
• Used to working in an English‑speaking environment.
