MWDN seeks an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails developer to join a global team building a modern eLearning platform. You will work across frontend and backend components, design scalable APIs, and deliver production-ready features in an international environment.

The role emphasizes strong engineering leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with product, design, and client teams, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and analytics.

• 7+ years of experience building customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Strong experience in React.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.
• Comfort owning projects from concept through production, including making architectural trade-offs.
• Track record of raising the bar for the team - through mentorship, code quality, or process improvements.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility experience.
• Experience with observability tooling (logging, monitoring, alerting).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Willingness to work US timezone hours for team collaboration

Responsabilidades

• Own features end-to-end: scope the technical approach, build across frontend and backend, and ship to production.
• Design and maintain APIs, data models, and backend services that are reliable and performant.
• Build polished, accessible frontend experiences with attention to UI/UX details.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features - from personalized learning experiences to intelligent compliance tooling - from prototype to production.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate work and help the team adopt effective AI tooling.
• Instrument analytics and use data to guide product and engineering decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver on key initiatives.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability issues.
• Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and architectural guidance
