Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Fuel and Fire Protection Systems Engineer to join the Fuel, Inerting and Fire Protection Systems Department. You will contribute to Cabin and non-pressurized Fire Protection Systems within the Fuel and Air-to-Air Refuelling domain, supporting mission platforms with MBSE development.

Job Description: An opportunity for a Fuel and Fire Protection Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Fuel, Inerting and Fire Protection Systems Department. You will be part of a team developing Cabin and non-pressurized Fire Protection Systems. As part of Fuel and Air-to-Air Refuelling, you will be involved in activities aiming to develop Fire Protection Systems for Mission Platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage equipment specification and lead supplier follow-up.
• Support System Verification & V&V, Certification / Qualification processes, and drafting Means of Compliance (MoCs).
• Provide on-site support to activities in the Final Assembly Line (FAL) / secondment.
• Coordinate system management activities in front of Integrators, Chief Engineers (CEs), and Programme stakeholders.

SKILLS

• Education: Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics and collaborative capability in dynamic environments.
• Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
• Technical knowledge: Technical expertise in fluid and mechanical aircraft systems, along with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development.
