WorkPac is seeking a Front Lift Driver for its Malaga site in Western Australia. You will operate front lift collection vehicles, load waste safely, and deliver reliable service aligned with NHVR fatigue and safety procedures.

The role offers an ongoing shift pattern with potential for extension or permanency. Applicants must hold an HR licence in Australia (or Class 4 NZ licence), have prior HR/Class 4 driving experience, and be comfortable working independently while maintaining high safety

Formación

• Hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) Australian Licence or Class 4 NZ licence.
• Previous HR or Class 4 driving experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Operate front lift collection vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collect and transport commercial/industrial waste to recycling and disposal facilities.
• Load/unload waste bins safely and complete collections on schedule.
• Conduct daily pre-starts, inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Complete paperwork and operate computerised systems as required.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain vehicle presentation.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading provider of waste management, recycling and resource recovery services across Australia. They are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Front Lift Driver to join their Malaga team. This is an ongoing opportunity with an initial 2-month tenure and potential for extension or permanent employment for the right candidate.

What you will be Doing

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating front lift collection vehicles and equipment to provide safe and efficient waste collection services. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Duties include:

• Operating front lift collection vehicles and associated equipment in accordance with training, procedures and company requirements
• Collecting and transporting commercial and industrial waste to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
• Safely loading and unloading waste bins and ensuring collection services are completed efficiently
• Conducting daily pre-starts, vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Performing basic truck maintenance, including greasing and washing vehicles
• Completing all required paperwork, records and documentation accurately
• Operating computerised systems and other work-related systems as required
• Interacting professionally with customers and maintaining a high standard of customer service
• Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the vehicle inside and out
• Completing yard duties as required
• Complying with NHVR fatigue management requirements and all relevant safety procedures
• Working autonomously and as part of a team to meet daily operational requirements

What you will need

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Australian Licence or Class 4 New Zealand Licence as a minimum
• Previous HR or Class 4 driving experience
• Front lift or waste industry experience highly regarded
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to undertake basic vehicle maintenance
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good reading and writing skills
• Basic computer literacy, with training available where required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to ask questions and follow instructions rather than assume
• Ability to successfully complete a Driver History Report and commercial driver medical
