Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical or Aerospace engineer to join a remote freelance role. You will train and evaluate AI agents operating inside a CAD environment on complex, multi-hour tasks, designing part geometry and building reference solutions.

You will work with CFD engineers to simulate the geometry, relying on 5+ years of CAD modelling in CATIA/SolidWorks/Siemens NX/Creo, and a current CAD license. Proficiency in Python and GitHub, plus English at B2+ are required.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master’s/PhD a plus.
• 5+ years of hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar). Experience in preparing geometry for simulation (ANYSYS or similar) is a plus.
• Active professional CAD license required.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or PhD is a plus

Project time expectations

For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10-20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $31 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.
