Job summary

OneSpan Inc. is seeking an engineer focused on agentic AI to automate repetitive manual tasks within our R&D teams in Barcelona.

This is a founding role where you will embed with engineers, identify bottlenecks, and build end-to-end automations that free time for higher-value work. You will start by shadowing R&D workflows, prioritizing opportunities with managers, and delivering practical, robust tools that can be handed over to teams.

Qualifications

• Deep, current agentic AI knowledge and practical experience.
• Strong generalist able to ship across backend, scripting, CI/CD and tooling.
• Fluent in English; Spanish knowledge valued for Barcelona collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Shadow R&D teams to identify bottlenecks and repetitive manual work.
• Rank opportunities by how often they happen and how much they cost, and prioritize with managers.
• Build end-to-end automations with an agent-first approach.
• Design for handover with documentation and maintainability for teams to own.
• Possibly lead a small 2-3 person AI adoption team as you scale.
