Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe seeks a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer to design and implement FTI installations on Flight Test Aircraft for the MRTT program. You will document configurations and work across design offices and labs to ensure compliant, timely delivery.

The role requires hands-on testing experience with data acquisition systems, telemetry gear, RF chains, and network analysis tools; English is essential, Spanish desirable, and a hybrid work model may apply.

Formación

• Degree in Electronics, Aeronautics, Telecommunications Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in testing activities and data acquisition systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and define Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) installations onboard Flight Test Aircraft for MRTT program.
• Prepare and document technical FTI documentation for Aircraft Installation Design Offices and FTI Laboratory Facilities.
• Coordinate and manage end-to-end FTI activities with stakeholders (budget, export control, stock, spare parts, V&V).
• Support in-service operations by investigating and solving technical anomalies during development phase.
• Evaluate Make or Buy processes and new instrumentation technologies to meet project demands.

Job Description:An opportunity for a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space , Getafe (Madrid).The selected candidate will join the Flight Tests Instrumentation Architecture & Equipment Team, whose mission is to provide flight test means to gather critical data from aircraft test objects for further evaluation. Our capabilities span special onboard systems, rapid troubleshooting, sensors and metrology, data acquisition, telemetry, and onboard manufacturing.You will be part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team responsible for the full life cycle of Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) installations for the Airbus Derivatives (MRTT) Program—from conception and equipment integration to final deployment.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and define Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) installations onboard Flight Test Aircraft for the MRTT program, analyzing requirements to specify and provide complete FTI systems (hardware, software, and digital systems).Prepare and document technical FTI documentation for Aircraft Installation Design Offices and FTI Laboratory Facilities in compliance with quality, cost, and time standards.Coordinate and manage end-to-end FTI activities with key stakeholders, including budget, export control, stock, spare parts, and Verification & Validation (V&V) tasks.Support in-service operations by investigating and solving technical anomalies, ensuring smooth operations throughout the development phase.Evaluate and implement Make or Buy processes alongside new instrumentation technologies to meet future project demands.SKILLSIs your profile aligned to the following list of skills?
