AECOM Spain is seeking a Fire & Risk Engineer to support the Building Services Engineering team in Barcelona. You will develop and review fire protection designs across project phases and contribute to fire risk assessments for international clients.

In this role you will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review vendor submittals, and ensure compliance with NFPA, EN/BS and IFC/IBC codes while delivering robust, risk-informed fire protection solutions for diverse facilities.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Minimum 3 years of Fire Protection Design Engineering experience.
Experience with NFPA suite, IFC/IBC, EN/BS, FM Global Data Sheets.

Responsabilidades

Develop and review fire protection designs across all project phases, including concept, basic, and detailed engineering.
Perform fire risk assessments and support fire engineering studies.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and provide fire protection expertise.
Review contractor and vendor submissions for code and project compliance.
Design and specify passive and active fire protection systems.
Review architectural/structural drawings for fire compartmentation compliance.
Prepare detection layouts and system narratives, and support testing and commissioning.
