Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Product Design Lead to own the design vision and manage a small design team across multiple squads.

You will balance leadership with hands-on design, delivering business-driven, user-centered solutions that elevate the user experience. You’ll work with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to remove blockers, streamline workflows, and create scalable, accessible designs aligned with user and business needs.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating leadership of design teams and end-to-end product design across platforms.
• Experience leading and developing design teams with mentorship.
• Expertise in UX/UI principles, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset translating product goals into scalable user-centric solutions.
• Experience managing design workflows, tools, and operational processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Experience in fintech or SaaS with understanding of financial products, compliance, security, and trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of product designers, ensuring prioritisation, alignment, and timely execution of design work.
• Mentor and inspire your team through regular critiques, coaching, and skill development.
• Manage timelines, roadmaps, and design workflows to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
• Maintain a hands-on approach, contributing directly to key design projects.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and executives to translate strategic goals into user-friendly design solutions.
• Advocate for user-centred design using qualitative and quantitative research and usability testing.
• Ensure design consistency and scalability via design systems and atomic design principles.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design for a diverse audience.
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to measure impact and optimize experiences.
