You will guide the business through the regulatory landscape of consumer credit and payments while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. We are looking for a
Financial Regulation Legal Counsel
to join our Regulatory Team and play a key role in how we design and scale our financial products. In a fast‑moving fintech environment, you will work hand‑in‑hand with Product, Tech and Operations teams to embed regulatory thinking from early idea conception through to launch and continuous improvement.
Your mission will be to turn a complex regulatory landscape for consumer credit, payments and financial services into clear, actionable guidance for the business. You will help the company prioritise and manage regulatory risk while enabling innovation, bringing together strong legal analysis, a business‑oriented mindset and ease working with data and modern collaboration tools.
Assess legal viability and regulatory risks of products, processes and new initiatives.
Lead regulatory matters related to credit and consumer regulation (CCD2, Customer Service Law, Customer Service Authority, NPL law, EMI, accessibility, PSR / PSD3, etc.).
Draft, review and update contracts driven by regulatory requirements or product needs.
Handle responses to investigations / inspections from regulatory authorities (e.g. Bank of Spain, Consumer Authorities).
Assess product iterations from a regulatory and legal perspective.
Anticipate regulatory changes and translate them into practical, business‑oriented solutions.
Strong legal academic background and solid professional experience in the fintech sector.
Experience in consumer credit and advising on related credit products (including debit and credit card products).
Experience in payments and advising on payment products.
Sound judgement, composure under pressure and a collaborative mindset.
Confidence in making decisions in situations of ambiguity or incomplete information.
Exceptional communication skills.
Advanced level of English
Degree in Law.
4–6 years of experience in Consumer Law, ideally within consumer credit or financial services.
