Sapiens in Madrid is seeking a Junior Financial Controller to join our Finance team and support financial management across Spain, Portugal, and Colombia. This role suits someone at the early stage of their finance career who wants to learn from experienced professionals, gain international exposure, and develop skills in accounting, reporting, controls, and audits.

You will work on vendor management, reconciliations, fixed assets, monthly close, and audits, in a collaborative multinational

Formación

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 1+ year of experience within a finance or accounting environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A collaborative team player with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting vendor management and Accounts Payable activities
• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate accounting records
• Managing fixed asset registrations and depreciation schedules
• Assisting with monthly close processes, financial controls, and reporting activities
• Supporting external audits by preparing documentation and working directly with auditors
• Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
• Collaborating with colleagues across Finance and other business functions

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some initial finance experience who wants to learn from experienced professionals, gain exposure to international operations, and develop their skills across financial accounting, reporting, controls, and audit activities.

You will play an important role in supporting the financial management of our businesses in Spain, Portugal, and Colombia, working closely with colleagues across multiple countries and departments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting vendor management and Accounts Payable activities


• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate accounting records


• Managing fixed asset registrations and depreciation schedules


• Assisting with monthly close processes, financial controls, and reporting activities


• Supporting external audits by preparing documentation and working directly with auditors


• Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls


• Collaborating with colleagues across Finance and other business functions

What We're Looking For
