RMITEurope, based in Barcelona, seeks a Finance Operations Manager to lead the European finance function for a separate legal entity of RMIT University. You will guide budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance across EU-funded projects, driving governance, risk management and high-quality stakeholder reporting in a complex international environment.

You will oversee a small finance team, partner with business units, and provide financial leadership to ensure audit success, compliance

Qualifications

• At least eight years experience in financial management, accounting, taxation, and statutory reporting within complex organisations.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, management reporting, and business partnering.
• Sound knowledge of Spanish accounting, taxation, compliance, and corporate governance requirements.
• Experience managing the financial administration and compliance of EU-funded projects and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage RMITEurope’s finance function with governance, compliance, and stewardship.
• Provide strategic financial advice and insight to support organisational planning, decision-making, and long-term sustainability.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, payroll, and day-to-day financial operations.
• Ensure statutory, taxation, regulatory, and RMIT reporting compliance.
• Lead financial risk management, internal controls, and audit activities.
