SAMY is seeking a Finance Manager Iberia to own the monthly close for Spain and Portugal, lead budgeting and FP&A, and act as a trusted partner to business teams to improve profitability and forecasting accuracy. You will manage the local GAAP financial statements, coordinate with external auditors, and drive automation of key processes while developing the regional finance team.

• Build and maintain KPI dashboards for local leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide profitability analysis by client, campaign and service line for strategic initiatives.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles per planning calendar.
• Support local GAAP financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with local fiscal, accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and drive automation where possible.
• Directly manage and develop the finance team.

Role Mission

The Finance Manager Iberia is responsible for the financial operations of Spain and Portugal end-to-end: owning the monthly close and ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting, leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning (FP&A), improving financial processes and acting as a trusted business partner to the business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly accounting close process for Spain and Portugal end-to-end, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the reporting process.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc financial reporting packages for Group consolidation.

• Build and maintain KPI and performance dashboards (profitability, margins, unit economics) for local leadership and business stakeholders.

• Provide profitability analysis by client, campaign and service line, and support business cases and scenario planning for strategic initiatives.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and run forecasting cycles in line with the Group planning calendar.

• Support the preparation of local GAAP financial statements, and manage relationships with external auditors.

• Ensure compliance with local fiscal, accounting and regulatory requirements, including VAT and other local tax obligations.

• Implement and maintain financial controls and improve processes, looking for automation efficiencies.

• Directly manage and develop the financial team: set objectives, follow up and support their growth.

Skills & experience

Education

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Accounting.

Professional Experience

• Prior experience at a Big4 firm (audit or financial advisory) is required.

• Strong, demonstrable experience in FP&A and Controlling is required; this is a core focus of the role.

• Experience managing people is required.

• +7 years of overall finance experience.

Knowledge / Functional Expertise

• Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) and FP&A/BI tools is advantageous.

Key Competencies / Soft Skills

• Hands-on, pragmatic, problem-solving approach: comfortable owning both strategic topics and day-to-day operational execution.

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Self-motivated and driven, with genuine ownership: does not escalation operational problems upward, solves them.

• Genuine mentoring mindset, particularly to support the technical development of team members.

• Strong stakeholder management skills in an international, matrix environment.

• Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus given the scope in Portugal.
