Job summary

Emeritus, Madrid, seeks a finance professional to lead closing, reporting, and control for Global Alumni. You will coordinate with international teams and external providers ensuring accurate, timely financials and adherence to PGC, IFRS/US GAAP, and SAP S/4HANA standards.

With 4–7 years in accounting or related fields, you will apply advanced Excel, AI tools, and strong analysis to improve processes while collaborating with cross‑functional teams under the CFO’s guidance.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in accounting, controlling, audit, or similar finance positions.
• Strong knowledge of the Spanish Generally Accepted Accounting Plan (PGC).
• Practical exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and Power Query.
• Experience using generative AI tools to improve financial processes.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and propose improvements without constant supervision.
• Professional English, written and spoken, to work with international teams.
• Experience with SAP / SAP S/4HANA is highly valued.
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments (EUR/USD) is valued.
• Prior Big Four or international company experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review the monthly financial close, including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external providers to ensure quality and timely close.
• Identify variances and opportunities for improvement across financial processes.
• Prepare and consolidate recurring financial reporting for the Group.
• Monitor financial KPIs and analyze variances vs budget/forecast.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
