Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech seeks a Fabrication Lead to direct and elevate our cleanroom fabrication operations for next-generation quantum hardware. You will lead fabrication routines, collaborate with partners, and supervise instrument maintenance at ICFO facilities in Barcelona.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent experience, strong fabrication leadership, and excellent English communication for reporting and cross-functional coordination.

Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech is seeking a Fabrication Lead to direct and elevate our cleanroom fabrication operations for next-generation quantum hardware

• Lead the development and standardization of fabrication routines to produce coherent analog QPUs, working in high-standard cleanrooms and cutting-edge instrumentation.
• Collaborate with partner companies and research institutes to advance the field of fabrication of superconducting qubit chips.
• Supervise the maintenance of the company’s own fabrication instrumentation.
• Contribute to the measurement and characterization of the fabricated devices to assess their quality.
• Guide and mentor the junior members of the fabrication team, helping them grow and take ownership of the device fabrication process.
• Share tasks and responsibilities and support the general work of Qilimanjaro’s technical team.
• Lead and manage the fabrication team, setting priorities, supporting each member's development to help them grow and perform.
• Oversee and scale Qilimanjaro's internal infrastructure facilities while directing the strategy and utilization of external partner facilities.
• Work Location: Primary workplace is off-site at the ICFO cleanroom facilities, rather than the main company offices.
• PhD, or an equivalent number of years of experience.
• Demonstrated a strong ability in Fabrication.
• Good command of English language (oral and written), including good reporting skills.
• Previous leadership role / experience.
