Job summary

Six Senses Ibiza is seeking a Food & Beverage Service Trainee to join our luxury resort. You will learn service standards, guest engagement, menu knowledge, wine service, and use MICROS POS systems to deliver exceptional experiences.

This internship offers accommodation, uniforms, and meals, plus weekly time off and an internship allowance. You will grow within a renowned wellness hospitality brand in a vibrant island setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hospitality or service-oriented environments is preferred.
• Strong guest-service orientation with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Familiarity with hotel systems and wine/service knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and attentively.
• Escort guests to tables and present menus.
• Take orders from F&B outlets and ensure accuracy.
• Upsell and suggest menu/wine pairings where appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment.
• Adhere to Six Senses standards and guest feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of all tasks to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

• Ensure that all guests are greeted courteously and attentively.
• Escort guests to the table and assist in seating and present the menu.
• Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departments standards.
• Take order from any food & beverage outlet menus.
• Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list.
• Work with an empathetic attitude.
• Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by standards.
• Ensure all mis-en-place for restaurant service is correctly prepared prior to opening hour of service.
• Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day to day activities.
• Have good knowledge of all F&B outlets opening hours.
• Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Skills and Experience

To execute the position of Food & Beverage Service trainee, I have the required qualifications, technical skills with proven results.

I am a personally involved, visible and proactive host with excellent organizational skills. I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer and I have experience and I am able to work in a cross-cultural environment positively.

Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sell platforms. I have knowledge of hotel/resort and policies on discounts/food promotion etc.

I am familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory. I have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus.

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
