Sandoz Iberia is seeking an Expert Data Scientist to join the Finance Innovation and Operations Hub in Madrid, delivering production-ready ML models and data pipelines.

You will develop complex models, apply ML/AI techniques, and communicate insights to stakeholders across the business. The role emphasizes collaboration, advanced analytics, and scalable data solutions in a hybrid work environment.

• 4–6 years in data science or analytics delivering models in production.

Responsabilidades

• Drives model development of complex ML solutions; selects techniques for the question/problem.
• Develops data management techniques, algorithms and quantitative approaches; extracts insight from structured and unstructured data.
• Applies external research methodologies to business problems and proposes scalable approaches.
• Produces actionable insights and communicates recommendations to stakeholders.
• Reporting of technical issues and adoption of monitoring where applicable.

As Expert Data Science at our Finance Innovation and Operations Hub, you'll demonstrate deep technical expertise & drive complex model development.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Drives model development of complex solutions using ML/deep learning and advanced statistical methods; selects appropriate techniques for the question/problem
• Develops/improves data management techniques, algorithms, methods and quantitative approaches; extracts insight from structured and unstructured data
• Applies external research methodologies to business problems and proposes scalable approaches
• Produces actionable insights and communicates recommendations to stakeholders
• Reporting of technical complaints/adverse events within 24 hours (where applicable); distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

What You Need To Bring To The Role

• 4–6 years in data science or analytics roles, delivering models in production
• Consulting experience in Advanced Analytics is a plus
• Fluent English is a must.
• Proven experience with ML models (classification, regression, clustering) and forecasting
• Strong programming (Python) and SQL experience
• Exposure to big data tools (e.g., Spark, Dask) and cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks)
• Experience building data pipelines and production‑ready code (e.g., Airflow, MLflow)
• Strong problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills
• Advanced ML/AI techniques

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
