Job summary

IE University’s Business School seeks an Executive Director – Program Experience for the IMBA to lead operations and student/faculty engagement in Madrid. You will drive excellence, manage a ~13-person team, and supervise program delivery from onboarding through graduation.

You will shape strategic initiatives, oversee stakeholder collaboration, and ensure seamless execution in a dynamic, international environment. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire others.
• Strong service orientation and student-centric solutions.
• Experience leading large-scale strategic or operational projects.
• Strong project management and organizational skills for multi-priority roles.
• Strategic mindset with focus on execution and continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, international environments.
• Budget management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service to students and faculty.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and execution of the IMBA program for a high‑quality student experience.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve student engagement and program quality.
• Lead large-scale strategic and operational projects across the program lifecycle.
• Allocate tasks and resources effectively to meet deadlines and standards.
• Drive transformation and continuous improvement within the program.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and cross‑functional coordination.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior management to align operations with strategic priorities.
• Oversee the student journey from onboarding to graduation with operational excellence.
