A large cloud computing company is looking for a Systems Engineer to lead operations for the new European Sovereign Cloud in Madrid. The ideal candidate will possess strong systems engineering expertise and scripting skills, along with a solid background in Linux and networking. Responsibilities include overseeing the launch and collaborating with global teams to ensure high service availability. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cloud operations and mentoring junior engineers. Fluency in English and EU nationality are required.

Formación

• Candidate must be a national of an EU member state.
• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
• Solid understanding of Linux and ability to troubleshoot systems.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the launch of the ESC in 2025.
• Collaborate with technology leaders to enhance operations.
• Develop and test scripts to improve workflows.

Conocimientos

Fluency in written and spoken English

Systems engineering expertise

Scripting in Bash, Python, Ruby

Linux and networking knowledge

Leadership in SOPs and operational best practices
