Job summary

ISCAREM HUMAN RESOURCES is seeking an OpenShift Administrator for a major international project located in Madrid. The role focuses on deploying and supporting OpenShift clusters across development, staging, and production, with emphasis on uptime, security, and scalability.

You will collaborate with infra, development, and security teams, implement GitOps practices, and lead automation efforts using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and related tools. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Red Hat OpenShift platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes operations and containerized environments.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and platform operations.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience managing platform upgrades, patches, security, and capacity planning.
• Technical coordination across infra, dev, and operations teams.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift Container Platform clusters across dev, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Administer and troubleshoot core OpenShift components (etcd, API server, controllers, networking, ingress, storage).
• Manage container images and registries, including builds, security scanning, and lifecycle policies.
• Configure networking (SDN/OVN-Kubernetes) and storage integrations.
• Implement and manage RBAC, authentication, and security policies.
• Automate deployment/configuration tasks using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or GitOps (ArgoCD, Tekton).
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration for OpenShift deployments; perform backup and DR planning.
• Manage OpenShift Operators and Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM).
• Collaborate with teams to define best practices for containerized workloads and document procedures.
• Provide on-call support for incident resolution in production environments.

We are looking for an OpenShift Administrator to join a major international project.

Tareas

• Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters across development, staging, and production environments.Manage cluster upgrades, patching, and lifecycle operations, ensuring minimal downtime and service continuity.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Administer and troubleshoot core OpenShift components (etcd, API server, controllers, networking, ingress/routes, storage classes).
• Manage container images and registries, including image builds, security scanning, and lifecycle policies.
• Configure and maintain networking (SDN/OVN-Kubernetes, network policies, load balancing) and storage integrations (persistent volumes, storage operators).
• Implement and manage RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), authentication, and security policies to ensure compliance and governance.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using tools such as Ansible, or Terraform, or Helm, or GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Tekton).
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration for application deployment on OpenShift.Perform backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for clusters and workloads.
• Manage OpenShift Operators and Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) for platform extensions.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to define best practices and standards for containerized workloads.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior administrators, and contributing to architecture and design decisions.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide on-call support for incident resolution in production environments.
