Job summary

Talantir in Spain is assembling an expert pool of Environmental & Social Safeguards Consultants for the IFDK-funded Framework Agreement on Technical Assistance for Public Infrastructure Finance Projects.

Selected consultants will be contacted for assignments requiring robust E&S due diligence, EIAs/ESMPs and monitoring in energy projects, with emphasis on land use, emissions, and community impacts. Fluent English is required, with CEFR C1 or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in E&S due diligence, EIAs/ESIAs/ESMPs, and monitoring to international standards.
• Work in energy sector projects with focus on land use, emissions and community impacts.
• Proven ability to operate in OECD DAC-listed developing countries.

About the Opportunity

We are creating a pool of Consultants in the Clean Energy Sector for the IFDK-funded Framework Agreement for Technical Assistance Services – Public Infrastructure Finance Projects. Consultants in this pool will be contacted for specific assignments as they arise. If you have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.

Required skills and experience

• University-degree education (at least Bachelor’s Degree) in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) or equivalent university degree, preferably but not exclusively in one of the Energy, Environment, Climate, Economics, and Engineering related fields.
• At least 10 years of relevant and ongoing work experience in E&S Safeguards: E&S due diligence, including EIAs, ESIAs, ESMPs, and compliance monitoring, in accordance with international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental and Social Framework) for energy projects, with emphasis on land use, emissions, and community impacts.
• Project experience working in least developed, low-income, or lower middle-income countries as classified by the OECD DAC list of ODA recipients.
• Full working proficiency in English, both written and spoken (accredited with at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent).
