Job summary

Grupo Oesía is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer in Madrid to design and verify FPGA-based digital systems using VHDL for defense and avionics projects.

You will work with Xilinx Zynq/UltraScale FPGAs, Vivado, and ModelSim, performing verification with VHDL testbenches and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in an international setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional FPGA design and development.
• Strong knowledge of synthesizable VHDL.
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx Zynq and UltraScale FPGAs.
• Experience in FPGA simulation and verification.
• Knowledge of DO-254 or similar certification frameworks.
• Ability to work comfortably in English within an international engineering environment.

Responsibilities

At Tecnobit, part of Grupo Oesía, we are looking for aSenior FPGA Design Engineer to join our Avionics & Communications team inMadrid.
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background inFPGA design, digital logic development and verification, who would like to contribute to advanced technology projects in thedefence and avionics sector.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE?

• Design and develop advanced FPGA-based digital systems using synthesizable VHDL.
• Develop and verify solutions based on Xilinx Zynq and UltraScale FPGAs, using Vivado.
• Perform functional verification through VHDL testbenches and simulation tools such as ModelSim.
• Design and integrate IP cores, AXI buses and communication interfaces such as UART, SPI and I2C.
• Manage and trace system requirements using DOORS, ensuring verification through testing.
• Support integration, debugging and validation of FPGA solutions alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in FPGA design and development.
• Strong knowledge of synthesizable VHDL.
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs, particularly Zynq and UltraScale.
• Experience in FPGA simulation and verification.
• Knowledge of DO-254 or similar certification frameworks will be highly valued.
• Ability to work comfortably in English within an international engineering environment.
