Job summary

Quintas Energy in Seville offers an internship focused on monitoring photovoltaic plants using SCADA within a growing asset portfolio. You will collect and analyse data, learning to extract values like irradiance, power, energy production, and temperature from multiple sensors.

You will also contribute to data processing in Excel and define PV plant strings in PowerBI, supporting a data-driven approach and reliability of insights during a 6-month program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in 2026/27 course of Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar degree program at University of Seville.
• Limited number of subjects left to complete degree.
• Languages: minimum of B2 in English and Spanish.

The Internship:

Step into the dynamic world of Quintas Energy and embark on a transformative journey that fuses innovation, excellence, and hands‑on experience. As an intern, you will be immersed in a unique opportunity to monitor photovoltaic (PV) plants using cutting‑edge monitoring systems (SCADA) within our expansive portfolio.

What You'll Learn:

• Data Extraction and Analysis: Master the art of downloading data from diverse parameters within the SCADA system. These values, including irradiance, power, energy production, temperature, and more, are sourced from pyranometers, inverters, meters, weather stations, and beyond.
• Data Quality Assurance: Become a guardian of data integrity by meticulously checking the quality of downloaded information. Your precision will ensure the reliability of our analyses.
• Data Processing: Utilize Excel files to process the downloaded data, paving the way for insightful conclusions and valuable insights.

Additional Responsibilities:

• String-Level Definition: Play a pivotal role in defining the PV plants in our system at the string level using PowerBI, contributing to our data‑driven approach.

Conditions:

Compensation: 500 euros gross/month

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00h to 14:00h (25h per week)

Period: 6 months

Who We're Looking For:

We're on the lookout for aspiring engineering enthusiasts who are eager to delve into the intricacies of power management. If you're approaching graduation, you have at least a B2 in english (B1 in italian is a plus), your knack for problem-solving, technical excellence, and collaborative spirit align perfectly with our vision.

Requirements:

• You will be enrolled in 2026/27 curse of the Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar degree program at Universitiy of Seville.
• Only a few pending subjects left to complete your degree.
• Languages: minimum of B2 in both English and Spanish.
• Full availability during Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the 6 months of the internship.
• Based in Seville.
