Job summary

NSI, based in Barcelona, is seeking a hands-on Packaging Manager to own packaging from development to commercialization. You will collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Procurement, Operations, suppliers, and co-packers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, sustainable packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in packaging within food/CPG, strong knowledge of flexible film packaging and corrugated, and is proficient with Excel and data-driven cost analyses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of packaging development/management experience in food/CPG.
• Strong knowledge of flexible film packaging, stand-up pouches, and related structures.
• Proficient with Excel, cost analyses, and data-driven decision making.
• Commercially-minded with ability to negotiate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end packaging development from concept to commercialization.
• Maintain packaging specifications, samples, testing requirements, and documentation.
• Support packaging mix: ~60% flexible, ~30% corrugated/boxes, ~10% rigid.
• Evaluate materials and performance to ensure protection and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with co-packers and manufacturing partners to ensure equipment compatibility.
• Lead supplier relationships, negotiations, pricing, and backup supplier development.
• Identify and resolve packaging issues before launches or supply impacts.
